Each year, your AIA Grand Rapids Board of Directors is faced, as is every organization, with the need to find and develop new leadership. The AIAGR Board is a great way to meet others passionate about advancing the profession of architecture within our community. As a Board member, you will learn more about the many ways that the AIA supports the professional growth of architects and help continue to bolster that support. For me personally, serving as the AIAGR Vice President and President the last 2 years has given me experience in a leadership role that has been invaluable to my day-to-day professional life.

Happy Holidays from your AIA Grand Rapids Board! As the year winds down, it is important to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new year! The board has been working hard this past year trying to understand the impact Realignment will have on how we deliver services to you, our membership. As we worked through the summer, we worked with AIA Michigan and other chapters throughout the state to develop a plan of what the AIA will look like in Michigan in the coming years. The rollout will begin in 2016 and we welcome your feedback on how to further refine our path forward.
